Joshua Lida was born and raised in South Florida, growing up near Fort Lauderdale. He went to a local elementary school and continued with many of his classmates until graduation from high school in 2008. He is still great friends with many of his classmates for more than 20 years and continues to have a large network of people in Florida he has met over the years.
Due to his keen interest in wartime and international negotiations, Josh attended the University of Central Florida, obtaining a BA in History with a certificate in Diplomacy. He became a member of The National History Honor Society (Phi Alpha Theta), becoming Historian and Vice President. Josh then attended the Sheppard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, studying intellectual property and business law, receiving The Book Award for the highest grade in his Patents and Entertainment Law class. Josh hosted and participated in several Entertainment radio programs, and focused his internships on intellectual property.
Josh has since become a Certified Cicerone, studying the business strategies of breweries and their place in the legal system. He has authored numerous articles on the beer laws of Florida, Belgium, Germany, and the broader United States.
In 2017, Josh co-founded Lida Law, PLLC with his father, Carl Lida, an attorney practicing for more than 40 years as a criminal defense attorney. Josh handled criminal defense cases and expanded the firm’s outreach, including administrative defense litigation, compliance matters, and family law.
Josh has now co-founded Twig, Trade, and Tribunal and focuses his practice on Art Law, including art transactions, art leasing, due diligence, advisory to gallerist, contract negotiation, litigation, intellectual property, art loans, art wealth management (trusts, etc), and all other facets of Art Law. Josh also focuses on business transactions and litigation as well as administrative work.
